Push knife for fan birds

Description

This push knife designed for the making of fan birds. Made from industrial bandsaw blades and finely crafted into the perfect shape for the riving of the birds feathers. These half tang knives are fixed to the handles with solid brass rivets. The knives bevel is ground and honed to give the best possible rive. Other commonly available knives have a too short and fat bevel and have been known not to rive all the way down and sometimes get temporaily stuck in the split.
The handles are made from ash or cherry with a comfortable sanded octagonal handle. You could choose to buy one made from a figured wood walnut or a lightly figured or partially burred wood.

Buy with or without Sean’s patent sheath to protect the edge from possible damage.
This knife can also be used as a push knife for carving.
This knife is often made to order, expect a two week lead time.
